My name is Paula Reyne, and I started this blog for inspiration and as a way to document a life that I feel so fortunate to be living.
By day I live out my dream job as a business consultant and entrepreneur. By night I blog about the fun, interesting, and exciting aspects of my life that I feel other women would likely connect with.
You want to know more? Here are a few random facts:
I’ve spent over 25 years as a business professional, working in industries that covered the spectrum from Retail Consumer Goods, to Investments, to Oil and Gas. I have also been fortunate enough to have traveled much of the world, from Canada to Mexico, and Asia to Europe.
Currently, I reside in Plano, Texas (a suburb of Dallas), along with my husband, who is a web developer specializing in International website design, and our two adorable, very fluffy, baby cats: a little, blond, doll and a wild, adventurous, redhead…
I grew up in a tiny, dairy farming, community in rural Arkansas, so naturally I love all things that come from milk, cream or butter. I also find completely irresistible the smell of fresh air, and a bright, sunshiny, day. (And I know from experience, that there are still people in the world who are just genuinely warm-hearted, and kind.)
I am obsessed with building meaningful relationships with people and in travelling the world to explore the places I’ve not yet been, and especially to do so from the vantage point of a local, going where the locals go and doing the things that locals do. (My logic is simple: Locals always know an area best, so if you see what they see and do what they do, you’ll really experience the charm that place has to offer, and you’ll also get a much keener understanding of why the locals made that place one they choose to call ‘home’.
I don’t think I’ve ever met a hamburger I didn’t like, and in my opinion people aren’t great because of what they have or what they do. People are great, because of their character…and character is that little thing in a person’s life that is forged day by day, as a person does what they do with purpose and conviction, regardless of what it is, or who’s there to witness it.
I love to cook and entertain, and I derive a tremendous amount of pleasure from sharing those gifts and talents with my friends and family.
I love a good cup of coffee, and have been known to drink it even late into the night, especially if I’m able to combine it with spending time with friends.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my blog – I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy sharing it with you.
