Great Day at the Grand Spa

What’s better than a foot massage after a long day of being on your feet?  How about a luxurious shampoo and a new cut and style? I don’t know about you, but those are the kinds of things I live for.
Recently, after having received an amazing gift of a full day of services at the Grand Spa, in Addison, TX, I had the extreme pleasure of enjoying an entire day of just that kind of full on pampering.  It was amazing, and I would like to share my experiences there with you today, so that you might also visit or consider providing as a gift to someone you know.

Packages available from the Grand Spa include: The Grand Year (a year long package that allows you to go every single month for a full year, and enjoy one day a month of pampering), the Grand Rejuvenator (which offers your choice of a variety of relaxing spa services), packages just for men, and more.

On spa day, I arrived 15 minutes early, to get checked in, make my lunch selections, and change.
After checking in, I was escorted by a spa attendant down a lovely hallway, through a big set of frosted, glass doors, down a brief flight of marble stairs, into a lovely, serene, waiting area (supplied continuously with with water, tea and chocolates…), where I would return to after changing and in between spa services.
The attendant offered me something to drink, then guided me towards the well stocked changing area, where I was then provided a luxuriously comfy robe and spa slippers to wear.  I also received a black book, which contained my spa services schedule, and a key to a locker where I  could lock up my purse and other effects.

The Grand Spa caters to both male and female patrons, and some people, like the couple (below), like to come in and enjoy a spa day together.

For lunch (catered by a local Whole Foods store), I chose a sandwich (Turkey with Brie and Adriatic Fig Spread), fresh fruit medley, and iced tea.  It was very tasty, and way more than I could eat in one sitting.

Next, came a shampoo, cut, and style…

And of course a French manicure – for both fingers and toes…

Lastely, I capped off my day at the Grand Spa with a few minutes in the steam sauna, before showering.  Saunas are a great way to release toxins from the body, and for me, a nice opportunity to quietly reflect over the lovely time I’d just had there.

All great things must come to an end, and of course that was the case for my day at the Grand Spa as well, but not before one parting goodbye:  “I bid you Adieu, Grand Spa. Until we meet again…”
